Art and Music at the University of Regina: The Centennial Legacy

The Centennial Legacy lecture was delivered by history professor Dr. James Pitsula on the early development of the Regina College Conservatory of Music and of the School of Art. It traces the importance of the arts at Regina College, the establishment of the MacKenzie Art Gallery, and the rise to prominence of the ‘Regina Five’ group of painters. The lecture was delivered in the Archives and Special Collections reading room on 10 February, 2011.

The entire lecture is almost 45 minutes in duration. It is available as a single mp3 audio file and shorter mp3 audio file segments. All are suitable for listening on most any computer as well as portable music players.
