Description

Charcoal portrait of a man, James, who was a frequent subject of Mary's drawing. As a decendant of Mary's he was drawn as a baby and here again as a grown man, recuperating in a hospital bed. Along with this drawing came a 8' x 6.5' card with the inscription: 'To my darling Mary from James with all my love and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.'
