The purpose of this annual event, which is coordinated by the Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal Peoples Committee and hosted by the Dr. John Archer Library and Archives, is to increase province-wide cultural activity levels of Indigenous Peoples, have Elders and Aboriginal storytellers demonstrate the cultural and historical value of storytelling, and foster storytelling partnerships through joint planning with outside agencies and resources.
This year the online session happened on February 9, 2022 and featured Lynn Cote, an anihšinaˉpeˉhkweˉ from Cote First Nation and an Assistant Professor at First Nations University of Canada. She is the co-author of Maˉcˉı-anihšinaˉpeˉmowin = Beginning Saulteaux, published by the University of Regina Press.
