I am an alumnus of the University of Regina, graduating with a Master of Science in Computer Science. I began working at the University of Regina shortly after I graduated. Throughout the years, I have held several positions at the U of R and am currently the Technical and Support Analyst at the Dr. John Archer Library and Archives.
I am happy that my experience as a programmer with a comprehensive background in software development, data analysis, and system design, is feeding directly into my work with the Library’s Discovery Technologies Unit. One of my major responsibilities is administering the software and hardware used by the staff, students and faculty members. I provide expertise and practical assistance in delivering services that comply with established standards. I work extensively with a variety of programming languages, including JavaScript, XML, Python, HTML and C++. Additionally, my role also includes working with our CMS (Content Management System): updating guides, web pages, calendars, and web-form in the SpringShare platform.
Throughout my working experience, I have developed my ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Working in the Discovery Technologies unit has been a great opportunity to refine skills for meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality code that aligns with the Library’s objectives.
