With the goal of engaging with students using an online, asynchronous medium, the escape room “Fairy Tales: Do you know your Research Terms?” was introduced in December 2020. It can be found on the Archer Leisure Guide. Using gamification elements the players solve puzzles that are connected using original artwork and the story lines of fairy tales. By selecting common research terminology as the puzzle solutions the players are introduced to research nomenclature. The escape room was created using the software program Qualtrix.
