“Archer Library is the heart of the University of Regina. Archer’s staff, resources, and services provide support and leadership to faculty and students across the research life cycle, including: research data management support; access to established and emerging literature; training and workshops in research methods, publishing and software. The Archer Library also hosts oURSpace, the campus open repository, which helps promote the critical research being done at the University of Regina. As we continue to grow our University and its research program, I am confident that the Archer Library and its staff will remain at the centre of our success.”
– Dr. Kathleen McNutt, Vice-President (Research)
“The Dr. John Archer Library played a meaningful role in supporting my postdoctoral work at all stages. Early in my post, I was working on an interdisciplinary scoping literature review and quickly found guidance for the first steps from Cara Bradley and other subject librarians. In addition to providing workshops on topics relevant to my information-seeking, these librarians met with me and my team regularly. They guided me, my supervisors, and the students on our team through new software, database searches, and analysis. They even read a last draft of the review before the paper hit the press! Throughout the process the library support staff were open to even the silliest of questions, always responding quickly and kindly. Their thoughtful guidance and perspicacious navigation of complex information systems made my postdoctoral experience a success. There is no doubt in my mind that my postdoctoral research has been a team effort—the production and publication of this work would not have been possible without library support.”
